TOPIC: Looking into PRP gel filler....anyone have any idea about it?

I have done 15cc of juvederm ultra plus and loved the results but a different provider reached out to me discussing concerns with migration and that if I wanted to go with them in the future that do PRP gel filler. This apparently is proteins synthesized from your blood and turned into a filler. The provider says it only lasts for 6 months but it STIMULATES GROWTH OF TISSUE so you actually get bigger permanently? Any one heard about this? Or this concerns with filler migration?

I hope you don’t mind if I share my thoughts. Juvederm Ultra Plus has a firmness (G’ prime) of about 150 and lasts 9-12 months. If you loved it, consider moving to Voluma (G’ prime 400) or Volux (G’ prime 700), both of which last at least 2 years and provide excellent results.

As for PRP gel filler, I can confidently say it will not make you permanently bigger. PRP and PRP gel fillers are rejuvenating treatments, but they don’t add volume like traditional fillers. I’m part of a group of 5,000 board-certified dermatologists, and the consensus on PRP gel fillers is overwhelmingly negative—they don’t work as fillers for volume. These products are often promoted by med spas, which may lack a deeper understanding of Dermatology.

Currently, the only filler in the U.S. that provides permanent results is Bellafill. If you want long-lasting, reliable results, Voluma and Volux are excellent options.

As far a filler migration this is a new "TikTok" topic and for the vast majority of patients (especially those not trying to get views on social media) it is a non- issue. Your Juvederm should be staying in place it may just not last as long as you would like.

Its going to last as long as it wants I think you will get over a year out of it,,, not really anything you can do to change how long a filler last for you.
