I posted about my experience before of having Phimosis after dermal fat graft and Ligamentolysis, and I could not retract the Foreskin at all. Supposedly this is not entirely uncommon as a complication.

Then one month ago I started using steroid cream, and now I can retract the Foreskin behind the glans both when the penis is Flaccid and during Erection.

It is still not entirely smooth when retracting the Foreskin though, but there is no pain, and I do not need to forcibly retract the Foreskin.

Now however I have another problem: the Foreskin does not cover the entire glans. The meatus is visible. When I retract the Foreskin, it also takes some effort to pull it back up, but there is no pain.

What I want to ask is: should this be regarded as an acceptable complication? Or should I consider Circumcision despite the risk that comes with that? I am quite unhappy with the appearance of the penis now.

I have attached a picture to show how it looks now.

I'll be quite frank - given what could have been longer-term complications (that now seem to have resolved with time & treatment), having the issue of "semi-visible meatus" may be a small victory. I know that's not something you want to hear, but in the grand scheme of things (surgical Phalloplasty and all), you actually have a decent (and fat) looking unit.

I won't ever say a complication is ever an acceptable one, but you have to ask yourself whether further intervention makes any sense. For example:
  1. Does the current complication cause pain or any adverse effect to form or function of the penis?
  2. Does the complication have medium-to-high risk of worsening into a more severe complication in the future?
  3. Would you describe the complication as to be so unsightly that it would warrant scrutiny by both partners and medical examiners?

From the info you've provided, it seems to be "no" on the surface. If all three answers are indeed "no", then consider yourself in good fortune given the circumstances. I'm not trying to downplay the fact that you are unhappy with the end result, but rather, weigh the considerations here. You COULD get Circumcision, but I'm afraid after a bout of Phimosis, I feel you'd be inviting potential complications in the future that simply don't outweigh the option of leaving it alone altogether.

If you are adamant and genuinely that unhappy, then get correction done with someone with a track record -- I don't mean to insinuate the surgeon you went to as unqualified, only in that I can't vouch for their legitimacy. If this is something you want corrected, you'll not only need a physician who does adult Circumcision, but one who is familiar with Phalloplasty as well. Those aren't a dime a dozen on this planet unfortunately, and traveling to the States would have to be a serious consideration.

Otherwise, I honestly think your unit came out decent given all things considered -- at least from this most recent photo.

Any kind of change can take some effort to get used to. The Urologist told me that many guys who never had any Phalloplasty or Phimosis have some of their meatus exposed. I read on some forums, and it seems it is indeed the case for many guys.

This is also how I learned that there are whole communities dedicated to stretching the Foreskin! And many of those people had Circumcision, but after rigorous stretching for a very long time, supposedly many of them were able to restore their Foreskin. It is pretty hard to believe, but at the same time the Foreskin is very elastic. As long as the Circumcision left some Foreskin, it seems that those people can stretch it gradually.

And yes, I feel very uneasy about the idea of Circumcision, even before when the Phimosis was severe. One guy here who got Phimosis after HA, it seems he got Circumcision right away. I was also convinced for a long time that I would need it, but from what I read online, it seems like almost everyone can cure Phimosis with enough time, effort and possibly some steroid cream to help the process.

Finally, I would like to say that it is a lot to deal with at the same time: first Phimosis, then when that looks much better, I find out that the meatus is now exposed. Of course after surgery one also has different sensation like sudden pain or localized pain somewhere, which can also be worrying, of course.

I believe the meatus being exposed also made the penis look slightly shorter, because if there is a lot of Foreskin at the tip of the penis, it will add the perception of length. Naturally it got me worried too that the penis is shrinking, but I remind myself to think logically and not let my imagination get the best of me.

It is great to be part of this community, and even to get a response can be such a huge relief, when one is alone and worrying about many things. Then someone with similar experiences give their opinion. It is really a tremendous help to cope with the whole process.
