TOPIC: Anyone Flown Into Tijuana (TIJ) Instead of San Diego? Experience?

Because the US is still ridiculous with vax status and international travellers (I had one shot, got so sick and ill I decided to skip the second as things were opening up) I can't fly into the US until they drop it. And I ain't going to get a full two shot cycle now.

Has anyone flown into TIJ? Experiences? Aero Mexico?

Coming from Northern California it’s super cheep to fly to San Diego so I have not flown to TIJ, but considered meeting a non American friend without an American Visa there in TJ and did some research on the airport. Also, I routinely fly on Copa Air.

TIJ is on the boarder with the USA + USA and Mexico jointly built a bridge directly from the airport to across the boarder. If you can’t or don’t want to get into USA and want to go to Avanti TIJ seems like a no brainer. Personally, I would not hesitate to fly Copa into TIJ.

I’d consider doing that. Or flying somewhere else in Mexico first and making a vacation of it.

So dumb that they extended their Covid vax requirement. Almost no other country still has them.

I might do that. I really don't feel like getting ill over a shot for something I've had a couple times when we're at this stage of the game. We were one of the most restrictive countries forever, so I was completely shocked when we dropped everything and then the US, of all places on Earth, still has that one weird requirement. Lol.

For real, man. I agree with you completely ... especially with all the stuff about it that's being confirmed right now through various government hearings in Europe.

Yes, definitely make a vacation of it. Head down to the nude beach at Zipolite or check out PV... Even Mexico City is cool AF. Relax a little in the sun, have some fun ... and then had to TJ for another round and fly out of the airport there.
