The "overfilling with anticipation of reabsorption" I feel like is an archaic method. I'm of the camp that believes incremental grafting works better - as in, staging layers over multiple appointments in order to ensure vascularization, and thus the longevity of the fat before requiring future top-offs.
The issue with overfilling is that you're almost certainly going to get some fat that doesn't get adequately vascularized, and your shaft will have areas of fat that absorb faster than others, leading to potential lumps.
I hope you don't have this issue, but I would advise against this style of
FFT in the future, or at the very least, ask your performing physician to inject less next time around.
